B404 network problem

May 6, 0920: student sitting @ B404-2-7 complained that the terminal was unable to access the network. IP conflict error was reported on the screen. ping test failed. Terminals in the whole lab were unable to access 172.16.0.2.

Solution: all students in lab were told to turn off their computers. Switch was powered off. Ping test then returned to normal, but was rather slow.
